Great! I didn't know this group existed until now! Well, I'm a student in this field and I lean mostly toward linguistics, interaction design, human factors and anthropology. It's an amazing field of research, isn't it? Well, cog sci makes the idea of actually eventually studying for a PhD seem like a good career choice! LOL!

So what about you guys? More students here or people with an academic background or are you just as excited about cog sci as I am? :)

I was equally surprised to see this group existed, fassin. I did my undergraduate degree in cog sci and loved it too. I leaned towards the psych and linguistic end of things, but I pretty much enjoyed everything I studied. Its interdisciplinary nature ensured that you never got bored! I didn't pursue it beyond undergrad, but it was the perfect prep for my master's in speech-language pathology.

i too was happy to see this group already existed. i'm currently a third year and minoring in cogs (majoring in comp sci), and sometimes regret not majoring in it. :) i love it, and seeing as how it's a relatively new department, i'm eager to see it flourish and develop over the years.

When I checked whether there was a group for cognitive science I was surprised one didn't exist.. So I started one. :))
I'm very interested in all sorts of cogsci topics. I did my masters degree in cogsci, but currently my relation has diminished to reading books which is fine I think.

i'm a psychology major (my school doesn't have a cog sci major). i'm gonna do something with forensic psychology and psychopathology. anyway, i think cog sci is a really interesting field, and i love reading up on stuff.
